Food Drive

June 20, 2020

10:00 am - 2:00 pm

The demand for food assistance has skyrocketed in the Houston area.

No one should go hungry during the pandemic. To help do our part, Colonneh Lodge, the national honor society of the Boy Scouts of America, is hosting a food drive.

On June 20th from 10:00 am to 2:00 pm, Scouts will be stationed at collection sites across the Houston area to collect non-perishable food. All donations will be given to local food banks near the collection sites.

Help support a local food bank to continue to serve families in need.

Will you help us with our mission to serve our communities? It’s a simple process:

1. Collection locations.
2. Gather nonperishable food items in your vehicle and place the items in a sturdy bag or box for easy collection in the trunk or passenger side of the vehicle.
3. Upon arrival, look for Scouts in uniform.

4. Please remain in the car. Consider wearing a mask.

Collection Locations

All locations will be available for drop-off donations from 10:00 am to 2:00 pm.

A Letter from the Officers

We felt that Colonneh Lodge can rise to the challenge to conduct an outreach project across the Sam Houston Area Council. In times like these, members around our communities have lost their source of income, are experiencing homelessness, or are unable to provide necessities to their families. Your officers have stepped up to the task to provide a plan for the collection and successful donation to food pantries around Sam Houston Area and Colonneh Lodge. We felt that this is the least we could do in a socially-distant world. Our project team has been conducting meetings and phone calls and getting the ground works of this exceptional project. We strive to have collection sites available in every community. Anything you donate is kept in your local community. This is a small but powerful service project! We want to thank you and we appreciate any donations you contribute!
